In “Chatting on Line” he recreates this memory using Black-capped Chickadees from his bird feeder in the Black Hills and his friends’ clothesline and clothespins on a Baja Beach. This is a location on public land that has informed Jon’s paintings since 2008, and there are probably more to come.
