He loved the way that the light shone gold in the water. He named it “More Precious than Gold” because sights like this are much more precious than the gold that these hills and streams produce. |

No Sunday Fishing ~ 48 x 19Limited Ed: $200 Artist Proof: $250 A favorite place for Jon to gather material for his paintings is the Kishacoquillas Valley in Central Pennsylvania. “No Sunday Fishing” was painted from an Amish farm along Kishacoquillas creek. the Amish allow you to fish on their land, but because of their religious convictions they don’t allow fishing on the sabbath. | October Ambiance ~ 52 x 18Limited Ed: Sold Out Artist Proof: $250 “October Ambiance” was inspired by Fern Hill Farm near Walingford Vermont, not too far from where Jon spent his summers as a kid. About three miles south of where it flows into the Grand River, stands the Chapel of the Holy Spirit or as it is often called the “Old Stone Church. This rural Episcopal Indian mission church holds a place of special meaning for the people who come from that part of the Standing Rock Reservation. | Otter Pond ~ 20 x 12.75Limited Ed: $250 Artist Proof: $300 “Otter Pond “ is not the real name of this body of water. It’s real name is Branch Pond, which is located in the Green Mountain National Forest of Vermont, very close to where Jon spent his summers as a kid. This has been a favorite spot for Jon and Gail to kayak. Several times they have played tag with a very playful family of otters. To them, it will always be “Otter Pond.” |
